Attitudes of Outdoor Education Specialization Students at Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport towards Adrenaline Sports

Title: Attitudes of Outdoor Education Specialization Students at Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport towards Adrenaline Sports. Aims: The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to analyse the relationship of students specializing in outdoor education at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University, towards adrenaline sports or challenging activities and determine whether their attitudes have changed after choosing this specialization. Methods: 83 students specializing in outdoor education participated in the research. An anonymous survey method was used. The survey was created on the Survio online platform and subsequently distributed via email or personal contact. The survey consisted of 19 questions, including 13 closed-ended, 3 semi-closed, and 3 open-ended questions. The resulting data were processed and evaluated using Microsoft Excel, and the subsequent values were inserted into pie charts and bar graphs and briefly described. All data obtained through this survey were used for the research results. Results: The results of the survey showed that the overall attitude of respondents towards adrenaline sports is 75.9% positive. The thesis focuses on the use of reflection in experiential pedagogy in the context of classroom collective bonding or as a solution to conflicts between students. The thesis describes experiential pedagogy and its methodology in general, and focuses on reflection, its goals, types and procedures in particular. It also does not neglect play and its educational benefits. The aim of this thesis is to design, develop and validate an experiential conflict resolution programme that could be used in practice and would help teachers in the situations mentioned to use reflection correctly both after the activities and at the end of the programme.

Shift of the comfort zone and personal development of participants in teambuilding events

This work deals with the shift of the comfort zone and personal development of participants in teambuilding events. The first part defines key terms such as teambuilding, comfort zone, personal development, motivation and stimulation. Next part presents survey using structured interviews. Respondents were asked about their experiences with the shift of the comfort zone and personal development at such events. The following part analyses the interviews to find out whether these teambuilding events have any impact on the personal development and shift of the participants' comfort zone.
Personal and social development through dramatic improvisation

The author focuses in her work on the importance and possibilities of dramatic improvisation in the social-personal development of adults. She points out principles and rules of this method, which can help in the development of each person's potential. Subsequently, she concentrates especially on themes like barrier outdoing, self-confidence, single-mindedness, fantasy, emotion control, acting skills and the art of dialog. Furthermore, in the preparation and implementation of courses she emphasizes principles and methods in accordance with the didactic cycle C-M-I-A-R-E. Author presents requirements for instructors as well as overall organization of those courses. In conclusion, model exercises, which can be faced by participants of dramatic improvisation, are shown. Author then explains their purposes and analyzes them step by step.
The difference of a stage of development of a pubescent and an adult with application of the experential education.

The thesis is dealing with the comparison of differnces of evolutional specialities between a teenage individual (a pubescent) and an adult with application of learning by experince (experential education). The differences which are described in the thesis are related to principles of experential education. The aim of this thesis is to provide with a picture of advantages as well as risks of experiential methods applied to individuals of both development stages. The first chapter specifies experiential learning with the focus on generally valid objectives and principles. The second section is concerned with the pubescent period. It mainly focuses on the personality development, cognitive processes, an identity, a socialization, an experience, a peer group. The third chapter is dealing with the same evolutional aspects but of adults. In the last chapter there are mentioned the differences of stage of development of both groups applying the experential education.
Experiential Learning in Adaptive Courses at Southbohemian Secondary Schools

The work si focused on the experietial learning and its use in adaptive courses at southbohemian secondary schools. First two chapters above all describe the history and present of experiential learning, bring key words and introduce its principles and elements. The third chapter is practical and tries to sketch the realization of adaptive courses in practice. It is based on the survey using guestionnaires focused on e.g. use of games, feedback, motivation instruments, principles of experiential learning etc. These guestionnaires were sent to secondary schools in South Bohemia, that adaptive courses organize. These courses has been organized shortly in the Czech Republic. However, their use is still being extended, which helps mainly children coming from basic to secondary schools to make this transition easier.
